Strollers sitting outside?
So I was wondering who leaves their strollers outside? I’ve seen many people with strollers out on the front porch or next to the house, many times in all weather and I was wondering how this could be good for the baby? Especially when parents ‘freak" out about buying organic and all, then put them in a stroller that has a possibility of growing mildew or mold or having bugs in it? eeew! Maybe I’m just over-reacting but I think thats so gross! Even if left on a covered porch, I would think eventually dust and bugs would get all over it!
I looked at buying a double stroller at a garage sale, and even though the price she was asking was good (), it was sun-faded and dirty.
I try to take care of all my things, especially baby things, mostly because it costs so much I would like the ability to make as much money back at resale as possible, not to mention know everything is clean and safe for my baby. So what are your thoughts? Thanks!
PS- I don’t have a lot of room in my home to store a big stroller, BUT I do so anyways if I don’t leave it in the trunk of my car because again, I can’t stand the thought of it getting all dirty! 
I know some strollers can come apart to wahs the padding, and thats great! My eddie bauer one did too, but it involved a LOT of scews to get the darned thing off, and wouldn’t ya know it, I get it all cleaned for my new baby’s arrival, and kept it in the garage.. then My hubby decided to cut a couple peices of trim. next thing i know it was covered in sawdust! Seriously honey- you couldn’t have made sure it was away from you before you did that?? Oh well!
By the way, i’ve never used my stroller in the rain (unless it’s raining from the store to the car) and I brush the wheels off before it comes in the house.

Still have 5 weeks left is it too early to start worrying?
I have a little girl due in 5 weeks and at my shower I got almost all clothes! I had to take most of them back b/c she had doubles in just about everything….I got other stuff she needed but it still wasnt enough to cover everything I didnt have! One of these things was a car seat and stroller. I think I can live without a stroller but obviously not a car seat. My mom is the worlds biggest procrastinator and is always saying she will do something but never follows thru. She said she will see if she can get me a travel system for Christmas. Christmas is a week away from my due date! My doctor even told me he doesnt think I will carry to full term as I am dialated and her head is where it needs to be. Is it too early to start thinking about just doing all of this on my own? I dont mean to sound so greedy but I hate to depend on my mom and go into labor early and not have this! How far along were you when you finally had everything where it should be or close to it? Should I have her nursery ready or almost there?

Need honest opinions of my baby registries. Would love feedback. :)?
So I’m trying to be conscientious of everyone and their budgets as I register for our first baby. I am currently listed for 2 (Target and Babies R Us) in hope that it makes for more convenient shopping for everyone involved. I’m having 3 showers (his family, my friends since I don’t have family in the states, and work). We make more than his family, or mine and I want everyone to feel comfortable making purchases. I also don’t want anyone to feel as if I’m asking for too much. It’s a delicate topic. SO… Is this a good amount of product or too much? Is it realistic? Too expensive? If you were a guest coming to one of the showers would you feel as if I were being too greedy?

Editing to add that my parents bought the crib, mattress, dresser and changing table. So that’s taken care of. I’d buy it all myself, and don’t really care if I have to. I just don’t want to limit people. The only thing I might get sooner, rather than waiting is the carseat, since you never really know when you’ll need it, and its kind of importaint….
Also failed to mention that I directly report to the owner and CEO of my company and I feel as if they’ll get me a larger item for the work shower. So I feel as if I have to have something larger for purchase if that makes sense.
Thanks for your “help.” I’m not really certain what you mean by obsolete as we plan on having more children and will therefore use these items again. Cribs and car seats aren’t disposable where I live…
My registry is a list of items that I would purchase even if no one bought them for me. I don’t need gifts. I can buy this all and it won’t affect my finances. People would want to stab me, as people really do want to have a village feel in a new baby. I’d welcome any gift, and really even a card if that were all they can afford. It is not about the gift, it’s about celebrating my new baby!
Oh, and thanks for adding all this up for me. Now that I see the total, it’s not that much. I have friends that have spent that much on baby furniture alone. But I guess this is like the Olympics and you’re the Russian judge that low balls and nitpicks, and who’s opinion just gets tossed out in the end. Where can i find a car seat cover?
With my daughter i brought her a really expensive pink and lavender car seat, with no intentions of having another child. But as life would have it i am 7 months pregnant with baby number 2 which is of course a boy (GREAT!!!) so i was planing on buying a double stroller, but i did not want to spend unnecessary money on a new car seat because they don’t stay in them long enough. so my mother told me to buy a car seat cover and take the girly one off. but i can’t find any car seat covers anywhere. so if any one knows where i can find a nice car seat cover please let my know thanks!!!

does anyone know where to find a pattern to make a cover for the seats in a stroller?
for the seat covers, the sun shade? or how do I go about taking the old ones off and using it as a guide? I hate the look of my stroller with a passion!!! I live up in alaska, so shipping is insanly high for anything big, and double strollers are kinda hard to come by, so my choice is to deal, or try to revamp it. any ideas?
um yeah, towels and blankets wont do it, was thinking lil more classier, and custom done. kinda like pimpin their ride lol.
