Just found out we have twins on the way and now we need a new vehicle! Our son will be 3 when the babies come, so I will have 2 infant seats and a convertible booster seat. The option of 3rd row seating would be nice for a few years from now, but we’re going to need the cargo space to haul around a big stroller first. So…I need to be able to put all 3 car seats in the 2nd row. We will probably look for something used. 4WD or AWD is a must (I live in Central NY)! Any suggestions?!?

I’m having twins and needing to find the best brand/model for an infant twin stroller. I’m wanting one where I can place/snap both car seats into the stroller, which will make it easier to transfer the babies from the car to stroller. I would like one that folds down to place it in the trunk of the car. Overall, which brand/model is the best? How much is the maximum weight for the baby? Is the side-by-side or the one seated behind the first one better? Did you order yours online or buy it in the store (and which store)?

we are expecting twins and we are trying to research the right stroller/ car seats for the babies, what matters most to us is how comfortable the babies will be, ease of transport and price…any suggestions from mothers with experience with twins wil be greatly appreciated, although any suggestions at all will also be appreciated. I’m the proud mommy of two handsome boys (both singletons). My husband and I are going to have twins. I’ve never taken care of twins before. However I am so excited to be a mom again. BTW: We won’t be breast feeding, co-sleeping, or cloth diapering

We already have: 1 arms reach co-sleeper, 2 electric swings, 2 cribs, 2 organic crib mattresses, 3 bouncy seats, Angel care Monitors, baby monitors, white noise makers, block out drapes, night lights, 4 boppy pillows, 6 or 7 miracle blanket swaddlers, several baby baths, tons of clothing for both sexes, every stimulating toy you can think off, a double stroller, 4 or 5 car seats, safety kits, gates, baby care item kits, a ton of stuff that I can’t remember off of the top of my head.

How did you prepare for your multiple birth? What did you find useful and unnecessary?

2 nursing bras(just to start-I’m going to get more later)
9 bottles
8 bibs(4 per baby)
8 burp cloths
baby wash
baby washcloths

Is there anything I forgot? I decided not to get the infant bathtub and was thinking of just sterilizing the sink then washing them in there.

Do I really need to get the twin stroller right now? Can I wait on that for a few months? Thanks.
Actually I think I am going to go back and get 2 more packages of diapers which would give me four.

Our plan is to have the essentials for our babies and avoid the cluttering and expense of unnecessary toys, gadgets and accessories. We are on a tight budget but the things we don’t want to ignore are safety and health. Please look at our list of "stuff" and give me your point of view. I don’t know many moms or babies. We came up with these conclusions by reading and asking questions.

We have bought a lot of second hand items, including most clothes, the cribs and bottles. We also purchased some second hand cloth diapers. I read online that as long as we wash them before the babies use them it should be fine and the ones we got are in great shape. We are working on making our own.

Things we have:

Two car seats (not second hand)
Breast pump (not second hand)
Bottles
Clothes (includes bibs and hats)
Blankets
Two cribs and cots
Home-made wipes (tons of them)
Cloth diapers
Diaper changing mat
Breastfeeding pillow for twins

Things we think we should buy
Strollers- are they safe if we buy second hand?
High chairs- same question
Plastic boxes with lids for soiled diapers in water with baking soda before washing- will this work?

Things we are thinking of not buying
Changing table, we can change then elsewhere with the mat
Pacifiers (do babies need those? I read they delay speech)
Baby bathtubs (can’t I bathe them on the sink?)
Bottle warmers
Baby monitors, since they will sleep in my room
Diaper pail
Rocking chair- I think I can nurse them elsewhere
Baby lotions and products like those- allergy-safe, gentle creams and stuff should do, no?

What are we missing? Should we reconsider some stuff? Any points of view welcomed.
Something else we’re thinking of not buying is a diaper bag. Can’t we use other big bags?
I want to work once the babies are a bit older,that’s why we bought bottles for older babies. About the diapers, I read blogs about cloth diaper and they said the diaper genie was just a waste, since any box with a lid and quick washing with baking soda and detergent would suffice. I am not afraid of poop and made a budget which clearly shows the cloth diaper road will save us lots of money, even with the laundry we’ll have to add.
We aren’t having a baby shower.

I just recently last month found out I was pregnant, and my boyfriend gave me ,800 and said buy the baby every thing it will need, car seats, stroller, clothes, pacifiers, everything!

I was loyal to not spend a dollar on anything but the baby until I finished getting everything I needed.
My sister was depressed, so I said you know what I’m going to give you 0 to treat your self to some things to cheer you up.
I gave her my card and trusted her.
She spends 0, I say thats cool now can I have my card back,
I get it back than the next day I wake up and my card is lost, I figured maybe I dropped it some where,
I log on to my internet banking and realize another 0 or so has come out!
and she was buying more things!

right now I am sooooooooooooo mad, I would never even think of doing that to her,I’m so depressed and I mean I’m trying not to send out negative energy because I just finished reading sonia ricotti the law of attraction but right now I am just furious, i am not even shouting at her because I read in the book that when your mad at some one you get nothing benefited from it, but ugh, I am just really sad that she had done that to me.
I do everything for her, every day i cook meals that take hours to make, I do every single thing for her and this is how she repays me.

That money for was the baby

I feel so cheated on, she is my twin and I trusted her more than any one.
but now I’m just shocked!
I am just like "wow!" I can’t believe she would do that. and I just rang my bank and they said even more than 0 was spent and some still is not showing up on my bank.

I feel really cheated on!

How can I deal with this in a sensible manner.

and even worse when I went to ask her about the money she spent, I went in calmly to ask her and she told me to "F*** OFF!"

I’m looking for a double stroller for my newborn and 2 year old. I would like one I can put the car seat in back and toddler in front. The double sit n stand can hold 2 car seats, and is the one I’m leaning towards, because it converts to a normal sit n stand, which will be nice in a short while when my toddler is ready. However my concern is that my graco car seat won’t fit in this stroller. Thoughts and advice please??
